Add your intake link to Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile lets you attach a booking or appointment link to your listing. Paste your IntakeOwl link there and the people who find you on Google Search and Maps get a button that opens your intake page. No website required, and nothing extra to pay.

Why put your link here

For a lot of trades, the Google listing is the storefront — it's where someone lands after a “garage door repair near me” search, long before they look for a website. A booking link turns that listing from a phone number into a first step a customer can take right there: tap, describe the job, send a photo.

Add it in four steps

  1. Copy your IntakeOwl link

It's in your panel, in the form intakeowl.com/i/your-business. This is the same link behind your QR code, so the button and the printed code send people to exactly the same page.

  2. Open your Business Profile

Signed in to the Google account that manages the business, search your own business name on Google, or go to your Business Profile and choose Edit profile. Look for the bookings or appointment-link field.

  3. Paste the link and save

Drop your IntakeOwl link into the booking or appointment field and save. Any URL is allowed here — you don't need a special integration for it to work.

  4. Wait for Google's review

Google checks a new link before it shows on your listing, which usually takes a day or two. Once it's approved, the button appears for anyone who finds you on Search or Maps.

About the native “Reserve with Google” button

You may have seen an interactive Book button built straight into some Google listings. That one — Reserve with Google — is only available through Google's approved scheduling partners, and IntakeOwl isn't one of them. We're telling you that outright so you don't go looking for a button we don't offer.

The manual booking link in the steps above does the same practical job: a button on your listing that opens your intake page. It just skips the partner program.

What your customer sees

They tap the button on your listing and land on your hosted intake page — your trade's own questions, a spot for photos of the problem, and the option to dictate answers in their own words. You get a structured brief by email. See the sample brief for what one looks like.

Print it for the offline side too

The same link is a QR code in your panel. Grab the printable QR pack for invoices, a window cling, or a truck decal. The customer who calls and the customer who walks up both reach the same intake page.

Questions about Google Business Profile

Does this cost anything?
No. Adding a booking or appointment link to your Google Business Profile is free on Google's side, and your IntakeOwl link is already part of your plan — there's no extra charge from us to use it here.
Do I need a website for this?
No. Your hosted intake link works on its own, so your Google listing can be the only place customers find and reach you. That's the point of this route — the button lives on Google, not on a site you have to build.
How soon does the button appear?
Google reviews a new link before it goes live on your listing, which usually takes a day or two. That's Google's review process, not something we run or can speed up.
Can I use the native “Reserve with Google” button instead?
That built-in button is only offered through Google's approved scheduling partners, and IntakeOwl isn't one of them. We'd rather tell you plainly than have you hunt for it. The manual booking link in this guide gives your customers the same thing — a button on your listing that opens your intake page — without that partner requirement.
What if Google removes my link?
During review Google can reject or later remove a link it doesn't consider relevant. If that happens, check that the link points to your live intake page and add it again. One caveat worth knowing: if a third-party tool added a link to your profile, Google will only remove that one through the provider that placed it.
